Welcome to West Hill

A visit to West Hill will ensure a golfing day you will not forget, enjoying the delights of our stunning heathland course, first class practice facilities and welcoming bar and restaurant.

Visitors are welcome Monday to Friday throughout the year and weekend afternoons in the summer. The golfing format is two ball play only from 8:00am to mid-morning then any format thereafter. Twilights rounds are also accepted in the height of summer.

Whilst it is not a requirement to have an official handicap, all visitors are expected to be competent golfers as the course is not suitable for novice golfers or beginners. Play will be from tees appropriate to your ability though all players need to have handicaps under 18 to play from the white tees. Society play is from yellow or red tees.

Standard golfing attire is expected on the course with smart casual in the clubhouse unless otherwise advised. In the summer golf shorts are acceptable with predominantly white socks.

Bar and Catering

The bar menu is available from 8:00am – 4:00pm in the Bedser Bar (named after our Past President Alec Bedser CBE), the Lubbock Lounge or on the Patio.

The Eric Bedser Halfway Hut

The on-course refreshment facility is located by the 12th green and is open from 9:30am – 3:45pm every day of the week. Orders should be placed from the 12th tee and a wide choice of hot and cold food is available as well as homemade cakes, hot drinks and alcoholic beverages.
